The City of Lexington has increased parking enforcement in response to a petition signed by more than a dozen downtown business owners who say their customers can’t find parking spaces. Owners say shoppers must walk up to four blocks because Main Street employees park in two-hour spaces for the entire day. Downtown workers can park for free at the public parking garage on S. Randolph Street, less than a five-minute walk from most Main Street businesses.
