Rockbridge County Fire Departments struggle to get volunteers

Fire departments are getting creative when searching for new members and equipment. From programs at the local high schools to job fairs at Lowes, staff members are working hard to recruit more volunteers. Inflated equipment costs are also forcing the departments to turn towards used firetrucks and ambulances instead of purchasing new ones.
