Season’s Yield, Lexington Coffee Shop and Pronto have an established customer base in downtown Lexington. A new Starbucks that opened on Route 11 may pull away customers from these local businesses.
Roadmap Coffee’s manager says their beans are a step up above chains like the new Starbucks and soon-to-be Dunkin. Roadmap supplies coffee beans to Lexington Coffee Shop and Season’s Yield. A Washington and Lee student said she will not begin going to Starbucks in place of local businesses.
