The Virginia Military Institute will soon be receiving $13 million worth of security upgrades. This project is part of a bigger strategic plan called Vision 2039. The upgrade will include increased emergency buttons, new cameras, an improved intercom system and rising metal barriers that can be activated through phone calls in emergencies to prevent cars from entering.
