Covid-19 has stopped the world in its tracks. Everything considered non-essential, including playgrounds, has been ordered shut down in many cities and states.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pinkerton Park in Franklin is blocked off to users …


 

 

 

 

… and most equipment is even wrapped in plastic as an extra precaution.


 

With no children to use them, swing sets are empty …


 

 

 

… and swings are even removed from their hinges.


 

Sandboxes are surrounded by caution tape …


Toys are abandoned, seemingly left behind by children and their parents in a panic.


Schools like Centennial High in Franklin are closed across the nation, with instruction moved online or cancelled.


Retail stores in Cool Springs, a section of Franklin, are shuttered,  from Nike Factory and Five Below …
