Virginia Military Institute will host a memorial ceremony Friday, Dec. 13 for a cadet who died in a vehicle crash over Thanksgiving break.

Clark was driving with a 20-year-old passenger when he died.

Cadet Jamison L. Clark, of Stafford, died in a single-vehicle accident on Nov. 30, according to the Stafford Sheriff’s Office. The 18-year-old cadet lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, driver’s side first, and into a tree. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 20-year-old male passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

Clark was an international studies major and worked with Marine Corps ROTC.

The Dec. 13 service will take place in VMI’s Jackson Memorial Hall at 7 p.m. It is not open to the public.

Additionally, a funeral mass and visitation will take place in Stafford next weekend.
