CVS Pharmacy is partnering with local law enforcement to help the community dispose of its no longer needed prescription medication in drop boxes at various locations in the county. The Virginia Department of Health is distributing in-home lockboxes to keep medicine in a secure place. Over 40 percent of opioid overdose deaths in the U.S. involve prescriptions.
