Phillip Thompson, the new superintendent for Rockbridge County Schools, is no stranger to the Rockbridge area. He grew up here, taught at local schools and worked his way up through the administration. As superintendent, he wants to be accessible to the school community and emphasize problem-based learning. With that, he plans to make both career and college readiness priorities during his tenure.
