Rockbridge County wants to move the area’s 911 dispatch facility from the Buena Vista Police Station to a renovated funeral home on Route 60. The county has wanted to relocate the facility for years because of its poorly placed and cramped facility. The move and new location would be expensive, though, and Lexington and Buena Vista officials think that the $400,000 they would each have to spend could be put to better use.
