Ten years ago, the Rockbridge Circuit Court House on Main Street was more than 100 years old and unsuited to modern legal needs. After a lawsuit prompted the city to build a new courthouse on Nelson Street, the historic building was sold and renovated. Washington and Lee now rents the space for offices.
