Two local gardeners, Jim Kvach and Jim Zimmerman, have donated nearly 6,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables this year to families in need. They delivered the produce to the Rockbridge Area Relief Association, or RARA. Kvach served on RARA’s board of directors for six years and Zimmerman volunteers at the pantry on Thursdays. Zimmerman also has reached out to Brownsburg community members to expand the pantry’s offerings to include household and personal hygiene items.
