Residents of Rockbridge County should be careful on the roads the next couple of days. The area is under a flood watch from Friday morning through Saturday evening. Two to five inches of rain are expected in the next two days.

This isn’t the first time floods have threatened this week. On Tuesday, heavy rains also flooded small creeks and streams. Parts of the county even experienced road closures or partial blocking.

On Washington and Lee University’s campus, students were unable to cross over the bridge to the rear entrance of the Woods Creek apartments because the river completely covered the bridge.
