Multimillion-dollar construction projects are getting a lot of notice on local college campuses, and not just for the noise and traffic they are generating. Planners say they will bring new or renovated athletic facilities, living spaces and other enhancements to their institutions. Officials at Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute hope their projects will be completed by autumn 2016.
