Lee Chapel, where Robert E. Lee and many of his family members are buried, will close Dec. 12 for renovations and so that a new fire safety system can be installed.   Visitors hoping to tour the popular site on the Washington and Lee University campus in Lexington will be directed instead to the Reeves Center and Watson Pavilion, where Lee Chapel staff will have a small museum store set up. The local visitors center will also point tourists to other attractions in town, including the Stonewall Jackson house.
