Owner Ugo Benincasa says the Robert E. Lee Hotel will open in late June., a few months later than he’d planned. Benincasa attributes the delay to construction holdups. The Robert E. Lee building was home to low-income citizens for nearly two decades until the city sold the property. The hotel will have an Italian Restaurant, 39 hotel rooms, a conference room and three condos on the top floor.
