Teachers, parents and students at Waddell Elementary School in Lexington are looking forward to breaking ground on a new building this June. Capital improvement grants and increased tuition will fund the construction of the new building, which will replace the former Lexington High School. The construction has been in planning since 2003, and will eliminate many of the problems caused by the current, 100-year-old facility.
