Some Washington and Lee University students are wondering whether the school’s honor system extends to the way admissions statistics are kept. The Washington Post reported last month that the school counts incomplete applications when calculating its acceptance rate. That might make prospective students think it is more selective than it is. The university’s president has ordered a committee of administrators to look into the way admissions data are compiled. A school spokesman says other schools use the same practice in figuring acceptance rates.
