Washington and Lee University’s Mock Convention kicks off Thursday night. The opening speeches will mark the beginning of a busy weekend for Lexington businesses as hundreds of visitors are expected to come to the event. Local hotels are full and area business owners say the boost in tourism comes at a critical time of year.
