The lawsuit accuses Purdue and other manufacturers and distributors of deliberately betraying their duties under state drug laws “in order to profiteer from the plague they knew would be unleashed.”
Purdue Pharma officials said they are considering filing for bankruptcy because of several lawsuits that have been filed against the company across the country.
