The case against former W&L first-year Ricardo Vergara will move forward. Lexington police arrested Vergara in February for allegedly sexually assaulting a fellow student a month earlier.
“I have never understood that if you have been victimized, your first call is to the university,” Commonwealth’s Attorney Jared Moon said. “The best thing to do to pursue a conviction is to call police.”
