The Maury River Senior Center and the Valley Program for Aging Services have collaborated on a “Wheels for Meals” fundraiser to benefit their “Meals on Wheels” program.
Nearly one-fifth of Buena Vista’s citizens are 65 or older, and young families are not moving to the city. The stagnant population and high poverty rate have some residents concerned.
