Rockbridge County High School Principal Mike Craft is retiring mid-way through the upcoming school year. The district has named assistant principal Shaun Sparks to succeed Craft on Jan. 1.

“When you start looking out and bringing people from other areas to fill your teaching spots, it’s harder to do if your salaries aren’t competitive,” said Buena Vista Superintendent Tony Francis.
