The Off the Bus preschool program will soon have new management, with the YMCA taking over for Rockbridge County. It will have similar curriculum and staffing when the transition happens in July. The YMCA Early Leaning Center staff will work alongside Off the Bus staff to ensure that preschool-aged children are able to access childcare and education at different locations across the county. Rockbridge County will continue funding the program for the next two fiscal years, according to YMCA Executive Director Chad Whitmer.
