Environmentalists say Woods Creek has struggled with contamination from sediment runoff during renovations at Lexington Golf and Country Club. But officials say they hope the overall water quality of the creek is going to improve after Lexington City Council passed a resolution on Thursday to build a detention pond for stormwater runoff.
