Last Friday, hundreds of people gathered outside of Del. Ben Cline’s Lexington office to rally for women’s rights. SJ McDonald, the rally’s organizer, was one of many who spoke to protest Cline’s proposal for an anti-abortion “Day of Tears,” the shackling of pregnant prisoners, and other issues. Women and men of all ages attending the rally also spoke up for Planned Parenthood, noting the many aspects of free health care it provides for both men and women.
Local news sources reported that Cline said in a statement he could not be in Lexington during the rally but was confident he and his constituents would find ways to work together to address issues important to women.
