After 20 years of work, the Paxton House Historical Society has finally restored the Paxton House. The society hopes restoring the near 200-year-old mansion will preserve the family history of its owner Elisha Paxton, a generous businessman in Buena Vista and the son of Revolutionary War Captain William Paxton. The house has been open for tours since Labor Day.
