VMI held its annual 9/11 memorial stair climb, with nearly 1,000 cadets climbing the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center while carrying the names of victims. At the Lexington Fire Department, firefighters and residents gathered for a ceremony honoring the firefighters who lost their lives and those who later died from injuries and illnesses connected to 9/11.
