A nationwide program is establishing a chapter in Rockbridge that will plan events for seniors, raise awareness about local issues and give seniors resources to help promote senior safety. It is working to establish a council called Seniors and Law Enforcement Together, which will lead the planning of TRIAD’s initiatives. TRIAD is the name of the first such program in the country, named for the three agencies that started the initiative. Its first meeting is Tuesday.
