Parry McCluer Middle School has been operating for over a century, first as Buena Vista’s high school then as its middle school. Over the years, there have been steam leaks and issues with heat pipes and the boiler. Now, school officials say it’s unsafe and not cost-efficient to renovate – so middle schoolers will go to Parry McCluer High School this fall. A vote is scheduled for Thursday on whether to fund renovations to the high school.
