For several years, Lexington officials have tried to develop property on Spotswood Drive and the old Virginia Department of Transportation service hub off Waddell Street. Early next year, city officials plan to begin working with the Lexington Economic Development Authority on finding a developer. City Manager Tom Carroll said the city is open to residential or commercial development.
