On Tuesday, Jesse Lineberry defeated incumbent Buena Vista Mayor Tyson Cooper by just under 200 votes. On Wednesday, The Rockbridge Report‘s Isabella Custard sat down for an exclusive interview with the mayor-elect to talk about his plans for the next two years. In the interview, he said that budget transparency, road repairs, and a wastewater treatment plant overhaul are central to his agenda. He also said he hopes to repeal a recently passed cigarette tax.
