Eric Wilson, the executive director of the Rockbridge Historical Society and a part-time teacher, is planning to teach students about the important history of Lylburn Downing Middle School the last week of Black History Month. His presentation will explore the challenges and achievements of those who attended the school during the segregation era, shedding light on a key chapter in the community’s past.
