The City of Lexington is hosting information sessions on the proposed stormwater fee and another rate increase so residents can ask questions to city staff and engineers. Residents can also get an estimate on the proposed fee, which varies by property. If passed by council, the stormwater fee will generate more than $440,000 to improve drainage and reduce street flooding. Some residents are unhappy about the fee and rate hike proposal because it follows another water rate hike earlier this year. If adopted, the fee will be phased in, with the first half added to July 2025 water bills.
