Jared Moon won the uncontested race for commonwealth’s attorney for Lexington and Rockbridge County, with 18 of 20 total precincts reporting.
Moon said before the election that he hopes voters believe in him.
“We can never guarantee results in any particular case, but what I can guarantee is the amount of effort that myself and my assistant prosecutors will put into cases to be sure that we do all that we can to bring offenders to justice.”
The other 13 uncontested races produced the expected results.
With 18 of 20 Lexington and Rockbridge County precincts reporting, incumbent Steve Funkhouser will continue to serve as county sheriff. Michelle Trout is also keeping her seat as the Lexington and Rockbridge County clerk of court.
Tyson Cooper won the race for mayor of Buena Vista with two of three precincts reporting.
Brooke N. Tomlin was re-elected as commissioner of revenue for Rockbridge County with 17 of 18 precincts reporting.
Timothy L. Goodbar was re-elected as director of the Natural Bridge Soil and Water Conservation District with 17 of 18 precincts reporting.
David B. McDaniel was elected to the board of supervisors in the Natural Bridge District with three of four precincts reporting.
Bob Day won his race for board of supervisors in the South River District with three of four precincts reporting.
Kathy Burant was re-elected to the Rockbridge County School Board Natural Bridge district with three of four precincts reporting.
Neil D. Whitmore was re-elected to the county school board Walkers Creek district with four of five precincts reporting.
Billy Grose Jr. and Charles T. Winder won their races for directors of the Natural Bridge Soil and Water Conservation District with one of two precincts reporting.
Herbie Huffman and Robert G. Deyo were re-elected as directors of the Natural Bridge Soil and Water Conservation District, with two of three precincts reporting.
Amy Hudson won the race for treasurer of Buena Vista, with two of three precincts reporting.
Lisa Bowyer Rogers and Thomas E. Camden were re-elected to Glasgow City Council with one
of two precincts reporting.
