Jordan’s Point Park used to be the heart of Lexington, and now, there are plans to help remember the old and bring in the new. In September, Landscape Architecture Land Planning, LPDA, presented a plan to renovate the park to the Lexington City Council. The plan includes many new ideas, some of which come from the children of Lexington. A dog park, a new playground, improved parking lots, signs that explain the history of the park and more walkable paths are all a part of the plan presented.
Lexington City Council now has to decide what should be done next. As of right now, there is no budget set aside to pay for the renovations, nor is there a timeline for when these projects could occur.
