The Rockbridge Area Health Center’s $6.6 million expansion officially opens Oct. 10. The new building, across from Walmart on Route 11 North, has an additional 13,000 square feet of space. The center’s staff believes this will enable it to better serve the people of Rockbridge County. The expansion features a new dental facility on the second floor, with tall windows that overlook House Mountain. One in two people in Rockbridge County has not seen a dentist in over two years, according to the Health Center’s website.
