YMCA looks to make a splash this summer

Rockbridge Area YMCA staff members could have a new task on their hands this summer. The organization is negotiating an agreement with Lexington officials to take over operations of the city’s outdoor pool. YMCA staff members are excited about the potential for new outdoor events, but some Lexington residents aren’t happy about several of the possible changes. City council will vote on the agreement at 8 p.m. Thursday at a meeting at Waddell Elementary School.
