Chris Billias, the Commonwealth’s attorney for Rockbridge County and the City of Lexington, supports Virginia’s decision to refrain from legalizing marijuana. He says the state has no plans to legalize, or decriminalize, marijuana in the near future. He notes that it is uncommon for a person to be arrested on marijuana possession alone, as usually other drugs are involved. But, one person was. This person, who chose to remain unidentified, speaks on the First Offender Program, and how he feels Virginia should legalize marijuana.
