Rabbits, lizards, and a pig, oh my! It’s a veritable ark at Maury River Middle School these days, and one of Principal Randy Walter’s most important tasks is to make sure all of the school’s animals are fed and cared for. Likewise, one of his biggest challenges is dealing with Daisy the Pig’s stench on weekends. Even so, Walters and his staff feel that animals like Daisy help the students connect their learning in the classroom to the real world, and possibly to future jobs.
