Lexington Pet Place’s owner Cindi Jacobs donated glowfish and an aquarium to Robin RiCharde’s special education class about a month ago. Since then, students have learned to take care of a pet. RiCharde says the phrase “I can’t” is not a part of their classroom. She said many of her students find the fishes’ movements calming. This is RiCharde’s first year teaching life skills and special education classes at Maury River Middle School.
