Buena Vista’s median home values rose 60% since 2020. The city used to have one of the highest property tax rates in Virginia, but a recent cut brought Buena Vista below the state average.

Virginia Horse Center preparing for new event this June

More than 1,500 people could attend the Roanoke Valley Horse Show this June at the Virginia Horse Center in Rockbridge County.   The charitable event has been held at the Salem Civic Center for more than 40 years, but organizers canceled the event last year for financial reasons.
