Two Lexington residences caught fire Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and one left 10 Washington & Lee students temporarily homeless. The Tuesday fire, in an apartment complex on North Randolph Street, started when a cigarette was left on wooden stairs. It was ruled accidental. Lexington Fire and Rescue Chief Ty Dickerson said the Wednesday fire on Fuller Street was not major, and was contained within the chimney of the home.
