All three Rockbridge area governments have given their OK to the next step in installing a new radio communications system for emergency workers. The Rockbridge Region Dispatch Center will begin talks with Harris Communications of Lynchburg on the new system’s cost and features. Dispatch Center Executive Director Craig Sheets said upgrading the current system will help eliminate problems such as coverage gaps.
