Buena Vista names Steve Bolster as new finance director. Bolster wants to update old software to find inefficiencies and wasted money. He has lots of work ahead: Buena Vista has a long list of projects that need funding.

New Lexington sidewalk project postponed

City officials say they couldn’t find the money to build a new sidewalk on Estill Street this year. Police Capt. Bucky Miller says the project is now in the budget for 2015. It will extend sidewalks on East Washington and East Nelson streets as well so that the two connect with a new one on Estill. The work is expected to cost about  $27,500.
