Buena Vista’s median home values rose 60% since 2020. The city used to have one of the highest property tax rates in Virginia, but a recent cut brought Buena Vista below the state average.

The annual Nothin’ Fancy Bluegrass Festival is being held Sept. 26-28 in Glen Maury Park. The three-day festival features over a dozen bands. Tickets are on sale for single days or for the entire festival. Rhonda Vincent and Nothin’ Fancy Bluegrass Band headline the event.
