The Rockbridge community has stepped up efforts to aid Hurricane Sandy relief. Members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lexington collected cleaning supplies outside Kroger and the VMI basketball game. Volunteers delivered 55 fully assembled cleaning kits to a distribution area on Tuesday. Rockbridge Area Community Services also did their part by collecting donations for a sister agency in Monmouth County, N.J. RACS workers filled a U-Haul from floor to ceiling with donations, before driving the truck to families in need.
