Buena Vista’s median home values rose 60% since 2020. The city used to have one of the highest property tax rates in Virginia, but a recent cut brought Buena Vista below the state average.

New brewery taps into local tourism

Devils Backbone Brewery held its grand opening last weekend and attracted almost 2,000 people, including locals, visitors from nearby counties and beer geeks —afficionados who travel to different microbreweries.  They tasted beers, toured the facility and enjoyed the bands that provided entertainment.
