Elderly residents of the Lyric building on Main Street now have nine designated parking spaces. City Council approved the spaces last week after residents asked for spots in the municipal lot next to The Lyric. They said they often had trouble finding parking and had to carry groceries from blocks away. Elizabeth Langhorne, 85, made the residents’ case at a January council meeting.
