R.E. Lee project gets city permit, but steps remain

The R.E. Lee Building renovation project in downtown Lexington gained city approval Feb. 2. City Council granted a conditional use permit that allows turning the building back into a hotel. Yet even with the council’s approval, two people still live in the building and must be moved out before any major construction can take place.
