The Community Foundation for Rockbridge, Bath, and Alleghany has amassed $2.6 million from individual donors. The money is invested in a permanent endowment and the interest earned will enable several area nonprofits to receive more than $100,000 in grants in 2012. Among the recipients is the Virginia Horse Center.
